1 stick butter
2/3 cup amaretto
mix all that and bake like directions say. I prefer a bundt pan for 40 minutes.
As soon as it comes out of the oven mix 1/2 cup amaretto and 1 cup powdered sugar. Poke holes in cake, and drizzle over cake, allow it to soak in for a good 1/2 hour or so. Turn cake over and allow to gradually slide out. Sometimes take a little wiggling. Toast a cup of slivered or shaved almonds, let cool. Mix another 1/3 cup and 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and drizzle half over cake, sprinkle almonds on top and drizzle with remaining glaze.
